Hello Meltingpot Readers,
Sorry for the late post, but today I was busy from 6am to 8pm in full-on mommy mode. Getting three kids out the door for the first day of school, complete with silly photos and a few tears, takes a lot of time and energy. This year I have a freshman in high school, a senior in high school and a second-grader. I feel old. But I also feel proud. Despite all of the grief they have given me this last year (and dear readers, there was a lot of grief), I know I have great kids. They’re smart and talented and each of them can make me laugh in their own way. I’m grateful we’ve made it this far and I’m looking forward to seeing what this school year brings.
How did the first day of school go for you, dear readers? Any great stories you want to share? I’m totally listening. And then I’m going to bed because I start school tomorrow!
Peace!
