Hello Meltingpot Readers,
Remember back in February of the is year when I had award-winning author, Zetta Elliott on the podcast to talk about diversity in children’s publishing? That was such a riveting episode and one of my favorites because Zetta is just an amazing storyteller – whether she’s talking about magical dragons in Brooklyn, or about her own unique life growing up Black in Canada.
Back when Zetta was on the show, her latest book for young readers – Dragons in a Bag – had just been released. Well, now the paperback is out and I have two signed copies of the book to give away! It’s a delightful story about a little boy – who happens to be Black – who has to help some magical baby dragons get back home. Spoiler alert, the adventure doesn’t end when the book does, but lucky enough, book two in this series – The Dragon Thief – is now available too. So the story continues.
GIVEAWAY!
If you’d like to win a signed copy of Dragons in a Bag by Zetta Elliott, please leave a comment below by Sunday, September 1 at 9pmEST. I’ll select two lucky winners at random Monday, September 2, 2019, so stay tuned for that announcement in Monday’s post.
Enjoy the weekend, dear readers!
Peace!
