I hope everyone is enjoying a day off from work on this Labor Day, 2018. I am. Sort of. As much as I love writing for this blog, it’s still work, so I’m going to cheat today and send you to the archives for a trip down memory lane.
I missed the birthday of my first (and only) novel, Substitute Me on August 25th. Substitute Me debuted in 2010 and on the fifth anniversary of her debut, I wrote this post in her honor. Please check it out and maybe consider buying the book for your final beach read of the summer. After all, summer’s not really over until September 21, so you still have time for one more juicy read about race, romance, motherhood and identity, before all the serious books get released for fall.
