Hi Meltingpot Readers,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I did. Lots of good food prepared by loving hands and surrounded by family. It was really lovely. Sadly, I can’t get that Turkey-induced high back, no matter how hard I try because I feel like I’m in a perpetual state of waiting. And I just feel stuck.
Here’s what I’m waiting for:
I’m waiting to see if my book on color bias in America will be purchased by a publisher.
I’m waiting to see if I’m going to have to take off my earrings and get my vaseline in order to get my car towed out of the lot where it is being held hostage after being hit by a drunk driver last week. (Don’t ask, I’m okay but the car isn’t.)
I’m waiting for the semester to be truly over so I can officially say I’m on sabbatical where I get to work on my new book (see above.)
I feel like I’m just waiting. And that’s not good. So, I’m going to start doing. Stay tuned. And thanks for listening.
Peace.
