Hi Meltingpot Readers,

Have you seen this hilarious video? I cracked up when my son showed it to me the other day and I used it to share with him all the experiences I had abroad when folks wanted to know what part of Africa my people came from. In Spain and Morocco people didn’t consider me a “real American” and always followed up with that, “No, really, where are you from?” question. It annoyed me to no end. The next time someone asks me that, I’ll remember this video and have me a little chuckle. Enjoy!

    Excellent. One of my childhood friends is Asian American and she has had these kinds of conversations SO many times.
