A PSA from Ms. Meltingpot: Go Vote!

Hello Meltingpot Readers,

I wanted to write something here today that would inspire each and every one of you to race to the polls tomorrow and vote. And not just vote, but rock the vote, take your elderly neighbors with you to vote, bring doughnuts to the campaign workers and vote. I wanted to light you on fire with the urgency this election carries and help you appreciate the great gift that our right to vote really is. But everything I came up with sounded extremely cheesy and preachy. And that’s two things I never want to be, cheesy and preachy. So, I’m just going to ask you nicely. Please vote, dear readers. Vote like your lives depended on it. Because, really, they do. And if you’re still undecided or you just want to laugh, check out this PSA from Chris Rock. (Hat tip to Wendy for the link.)  And then, if you’re still thinking about not voting, for whatever reason I cannot imagine, listen to Cher and Kathy Griffin. If they can’t convince you to vote, then keep watching all the videos at Actually.org and hopefully you will be inspired. (Warning, there is a strong Obama bias on this blog, but at the end of the day, I just want people to vote.)
